UltraHD Drives is a UK-based sole trader selling pre-flashed 4K UHD Blu-ray drives worldwide. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to take your order, ship it, and support you afterwards. We never sell your data.

What we collect

When you order or contact us we collect your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if given) and order details. Payments are handled by our payment providers (Shopify Payments and PayPal) — your full card number is processed by them and is never stored on our systems. We also receive basic, mostly anonymous analytics about how the site is used.

How we use it

  • To process, pack, ship and track your order, and to handle returns, warranty and support.
  • To send service messages about your order (confirmation, dispatch, tracking).
  • With your consent, to send occasional restock alerts, guides and discount codes — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations, and to prevent fraud.

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on performance of a contract to fulfil your order, consent for marketing emails, and legitimate interests for fraud prevention, support and improving the site.

Who we share it with

Only the providers needed to run the shop: our couriers (Yodel in the UK, Royal Mail for international), our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal), our store platform (Shopify) and our email provider. For US orders shipped Delivered Duties Paid, limited address and contents data is shared with the carrier and customs as required. We do not share your data with advertisers.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, transfers are covered by adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting law. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept only as long as useful.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or port your data, or to stop marketing, by emailing our support address. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
